Look down at the steering wheel, on the trunk lid or out front on the grill. See if it says “Subaru,” or “Honda” or “Toyota.”
Then think about the fix we’re in. Unemployment, the government takeover of heavy manufacturing and the medical industry, the angst, anomie, anger and depression among the people.
If it says “KIA” on your SUV or “Mitsubishi” on your pickup truck, this situation is your fault.
Detroit, and nearby Flint as well, are ghost towns. They’ve not only been virtually deserted, but are being violently destroyed by those who have come to live there now.
Here’s an eyewitness report from our friend Mike, a former resident of Flint:
Here are excerpts from a dissertation by Frosty Wooldridge, a U.S. journalist, writer, environmentalist, traveler:“I rode back to Flint last June. It is now similar to Detroit for the same reasons but (so far) without the Muslims.
“Except for Ford in Dearborn, the factories are gone, as are railroad tracks, street lights, street signs and electric power lines. Most of the commercial buildings that haven't been burned have holes blown through them.
“The industry can not come back. In the city there are no grocery stores, gas stations, bars, liquor stores or cats, dogs, rats, or birds.
“It seems to be as if you are driving through the twilight zone. I rode through Flint at 3 p.m. on I-69 for 10-12 miles and saw one car.”
-0-“For 15 years, from the mid 1970's to 1990, I worked in Detroit. I watched it descend into the abyss of crime, debauchery, gunplay, drugs, school truancy, car-jacking, gangs, and human depravity.
“I watched entire city blocks burned out. I watched graffiti explode on buildings, cars, trucks, buses, and school yards. There was trash everywhere!
“Detroiters walked through it, tossed more into it, and ignored it. These days, hundreds of thousands of residents exist on federal welfare, free housing, and food stamps.
“If you give away money for doing nothing, you will get more hands out taking money for doing nothing.
“Detroit has become a majority black city with 67 percent African-Americans.
“As a United Van Lines truck driver, I loaded the belongings of hundreds of American families into my van for a new life in another city or state.
“Detroit plummeted from 1.8 million citizens to 912,000 today. At the same time, legal and illegal immigrants converged on the city; Muslims now number over 300,000.
“As the whites moved out, the Muslims moved in. Detroit suffers so much shoplifting that grocery stores no longer operate in many inner city locations.
“Today, you hear Muslim calls to worship over the city like a new American Baghdad with hundreds of Islamic mosques in Michigan, paid for by Saudi Arabian oil money.
“Unemployment hit 28.9 percent in 2009 as the auto industry vacated the city. Once our fourth largest city, Detroit is now 11th and slipping. The death rattle emanated from its signature industry in the past year.
“As Mayor Coleman Young's corruption brought the city to its knees, no amount of federal dollars could overcome the incredible payoffs, kickbacks and illegality permeating his administration.
"By any quantifiable standard, the city is on life support. Detroit’s treasury is $300 million short of the funds needed to provide the barest municipal services.
“More and more uneducated third world immigrants will move from the Middle East into Detroit, creating a beachhead for Islamic hegemony in America.
“If 50 percent illiteracy continues, we will see more homegrown terrorists spawned out of the Muslim ghettos of Detroit. Illiteracy plus Islam equals walking human bombs.”
The Muslim Horde, which has bedeviled the Christian world almost since its inception, is aggressively accomplishing what it was designed to do.
Like backwash in an empty sewer line, the Muslims flow into abandoned areas of the world, perceiving a vacuum, filling a void.
Don’t kid yourself. Don’t buy into the idea that Muslims are good guys except for a few extremists. It ain’t that way.
Muslims don’t work. Muslims care not a whit for democracy or capitalism. They enjoy a free ride. They merely exist so that the rest of us can die, by their hand or otherwise.
When the Christians evacuated Detroit, they left behind their churches. When the churches died along with the industry, a spiritual vacuum was created.
The Devil loves a vacuum. He cackles with glee when the horde bubbles in to fill the void.
Think it can’t happen here – or wherever you are? Again, pull your head from the sand. It’s already happening.
A cheerful note
On a more cheerful note, Laura and I have come to sort of an agreement with regard to my once-frivolous ambition to visit the Holy Land.
If you recall, I reported earlier that if I ever did visit the Holy Land, I would prefer to simply stay in Beer Sheba.
I said whoever else goes on the pilgrimage would be welcome to get on those tour buses and go wherever. Myself, I’ll just be hanging out, in Beer Sheba, sampling the brew master’s best.
Well at first Laura said no way. She didn’t want any part of that. But then it came to her: A compromise!
Here’s her idea. It will be all right with her if we stay in Beer Sheba, so long as we ride over to Bath Sheba every couple of days.
You like it? Start gearing up. Our proposed date for the tour might seem a little far off, but good things need long-range planning. We’re looking at the off-season in 2014.
We’ll arrange to rent Harley-Davidsons at Beer Sheba for the rather tedious ride over to Bath Sheba. We’ll have to sign up a priest to help us understand the significant history of the area, and preside at Mass every day.
One secret desire I have is to personally inspect the area with the hope of promoting it as the site for World Youth Day in 2016.
The bumper stickers will be ready soon: “Beer Sheba: WYD 2016” You like it? I like it.

Word of the Week: Beer Sheba. Linguistic heritage unknown, it is an ancient city in southwestern Palestine. Beer itself is a word of Germanic heritage, beuza, or “foaming.”
Today, beer is a mildly alcoholic drink made from barley and hops – and water. Hence my affection for little old Beer Sheba. Gotta be fun there.
I think you'll have lots of traveling companions with lots of time to save beer Sheba money with your trip itinerary!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes it is scary about Detroit. I have some friends that moved to Michigan a year ago. It has one of the highest unemployment rates in the U.S.
