Fear of Communism
With the notable exception of China, Communism as we once knew it has more or less died as an ideology, as the predominant philosophy of national governments.
There was for a long time in this country an inordinate fear of Communism. It would be foolish to say we shouldn’t fear the Chinese, but in retrospect, it was foolish to fear Communism.
Forty years later, it’s still difficult to discern just why our country sacrificed so many lives and expended so much time, effort and materials on a military presence in Vietnam. What was the rationale?
What we were being told then, and in a certain sense we’re still being told today, is that we were fighting a “Communist threat.”
Communism, simply defined, is an economic theory or system of ownership of all property as a community as a whole.
Had we only known. Oh hindsight, thou art precious. We shouldn’t have been afraid of Communism.
It was the Democrats who should have terrified us.
What’s a Democrat?
My 50-year-old dictionary says a democrat is a person who believes in and upholds government by the people. A democrat is an advocate of rule by the majority.
Actually, the Democratic Party evolved from a political organization known as the “Republican Party” led by Thomas Jefferson.
How different the Democratic Party of today. Persons in power in the contemporary version should more accurately be called “Socialist Democrats.”
They do believe in the idea that the majority rules; that’s why and how we have Mr. Obama as President.
But everything else about them is pure unabashed socialism. Since Obama took over, the nation’s industry has essentially been nationalized. The nation’s health care system is about to be nationalized.
Abortion is being used by these people to control and guide the configuration of the population, the idea being to perpetuate the Democrats in power.
These people are simply wicked. It’s gone way beyond the “popular vote.” It has become a sort of . . . socialist communism, if you will.
Socialism, my antique dictionary says, is the theory or system of the ownership and operation of the means of production and distribution by the community (bureaucracy?) rather than by private individuals.
Sound familiar?
Let’s see. U.S.S.R., the initials of the Russian-based country that recently imploded, stand for “Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.” Fancy words for communism.
Even Hitler. “Nazi” is an acronym for his National Socialist party.
The Democrats aren’t Democrats any more. They’re socialists, and they’re dangerous. They’re deadly. They’re much more of a threat to us than were the poor commie bastards in Vietnam.
Hey. I didn’t vote for them.
Visiting the Holy Land
Lots of people I know want to visit the Holy Land.
You’ll hear talk of visiting Jerusalem. Or Golgotha. Sometimes the Wailing Wall. Bethlehem. The Via Dolorosa. All of that would be fun.
Tell you what, though. You folks just go ahead on that tour bus. Knock yourselves out. For myself, I’m just going to stay here in Beer-Sheba.

Well said my good man... well said.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that today's Democrats cannot tell yout the truth behind their actions? (rhetorical ???) Is it because they really have no substance, if they told people the truth concerning their suggestions, their real idioligy would be discovered?
